First I take the time out, Then I put the time in/ Money aint everything, it’s more about the timing/ So I got the Audemar, Flawless diamond/ In other words that’s called perfect timing
Audemar watch is a luxury brand. Using it as a metaphor, Fabis showing that he is very time saavy and uses time wisely. Success is how well you use your time, so might as well celebrate the glory by getting an Audemar with the flawless diamond. Perfect watch, right Loso?
Fabolous - The Way (Intro)
Money talks, if you speak Guap-anese/ A language better known if you gettin cheddar holmes/ If not get a loan, use that like Rosetta Stone/ And that way you can holla ‘bout a dollar
If you ever heard the phrase “money talks”, you know that having a fat bank account will help you be heard. Money talks, and the language is guapanese. Fabolous is fluent in this language, according to his song lyrics. Guap (as well as cheddar) is slang for money. So if Fab is fluent in guapanese, that means that his money is talking loudly and he is getting cheddar. For everyone out there that is unfamiliar with guapanese and does not have “money that talks”, then perhaps you need to invest more. Get a loan (which many do when they don’t have the proper funds), and use that money like Rosetta Stone, something that can help you better yourself and learn the language.
When you invest in Rosetta Stone, you are one step closer to learning a language. In the case of guapanese, you will be that much closer to hollering about a dollar with Fabolous. And no…Google Translate cannot help.
Fabolous - Everything, Everyday, Everywhere
And I hope you don’t think we give a sugar, honey, iced tea/ Or a middle finger up/ I just stay sucker-free/ Leave the lames where they be/ And I let my chips pringle up (That means “stacked”)
Fabolous is not worried about the lames that try to hold him back from success. Fabolous is mostly concerned with increasing his net worth. He doesn’t give a damn, or in his own words, a sugar sweet fuck about what the suckers around him think. Nor does he give a middle finger up. His audacious reaction to these suckers makes sense, considering this behavior only lets his chips continue to stack. In other words, chips mean money (like poker chips) and Fabolous’s focused attitude only lets his cash flow continue and income continue to grow.
I wonder who thought of the idea to have potato chips come in a cylinder can. It is quite a creative concept that avoids the obvious packaging in bag. This helps consumers feel better buying chips that not broken or stale. Makes sense why Fab wants his money to be just as clean and fresh. Keep the income coming.
Fabolous “Lullaby”
I been killing these hoes, these niggas just drop dead/ In the drop head, all we do is bop heads/ to the side, like Busta in the Pepsi ad/ With my Columbiana mama, yep she bad.
Fabolous explains the lure he has when it comes to the females. While other males drop dead at the sight of a gorgeous woman, Fabolous considers these women to be hoes that are the ones that actually drop dead due to murder, or Fab’s seduction. Women who succumb to Fabolous and his advances are guaranteed to be passengers in his drop top convertible, where they will bop heads to the songs playing just like Busta Rhymes in the 2008 Superbowl commercial for Pepsi Max. In Fabolous case, the woman that will be bopping her head will be of Columbian descent who is considered a threatening mate. However, for Fabolous, this threatening persona of the Columbiana Mama is fitting for the man who confidently bops his head like he is on a beverage with ginseng and twice as much caffeine as regular Pepsi.
If you aspire to “kill hoes” make sure you have the energy and confidence to do it. Pepsi Max may not be able to give you wings, but it sure can have you bopping your head.
